Supporting the ISCE...

The plan to commemorate Scott's centenary and the death of the Polar Party is a noble and fitting tribute. I support the efforts of the team at ISCE and wish them all the very best for their plans in Antarctica in 2012.

Business Ideas Challenge

This year the University of Plymouth launched its annual Business Ideas Challenge.  This competition is designed to help promising entrepreneurs to present their ideas and gain access to the professional services and advice of experts from the University of Plymouth and the competition’s sponsors.

This year ISCE’s Antony Jinman won first prize in the competition by pitching Education Through Expeditions (ETE), his not-for-profit, community interest company.  ETE is a key component of the ISCE’s education and outreach programme.  Antony visits schools with ETE, hoping to inspire children with Captain Scott’s story, just as he was.
