The work of Antony and the International Scott Centenary Expedition 2012 in spearheading Scott’s Centenary is fantastic. As a city, Plymouth will benefit greatly from the educational outreach programme run alongside the expedition.
David Parlby. CEO of Plymouth Chamber of Commerce
The ISCE gained charity status this year in recognition of the Spirit of Scott Expeditions and the team's work to provide an education programme and media outreach campaign aimed at inspiring and educating the community at large and encourage the leaders of tomorrow to follow their dreams and aspirations. The ISCE will also be supporting the work of the Scott Polar Research Institute in Cambridge, which continues the legacy of Scott's expeditions in the Polar regions to this day, ensuring a century of polar scientific work inspired by Captain Scott.
As well as sponsoring the Spirit of Scott Expeditions directly, the Daily Telegraph competition candidates are also setting up personal ISCE sponsorship pages. Over the course of the next year they will be embarking on a wide range of fundraising events. Including, for example, a gruelling 5 marathons in 5 days!
To learn more about the candidates you can also visit their webpages on the ISCE website.
