The plan to commemorate Scott's centenary and the death of the Polar Party is a noble and fitting tribute. I support the efforts of the team at ISCE and wish them all the very best for their plans in Antarctica in 2012.

At the end of next week (28th October, 2011) the Final Four ISCE Daily Telegraph Candidates with be travelling to Norway to take part in the final selection event. They will team up once again for 10 days of winter survival training near Alta, in the Finnmark region of Arctic Norway. Following this event the winner and runner up of the Daily Telegraph competition will be selected. More details on the expedition and what the candidates got up to will be posted after the event.
